Happy Lunar New Year 2023
Happy Lunar New Year 2023
So today 23 of January 2023 is the first day of the Lunar New Year 2023 and you know how I love learning and sharing different cultures and rituals, so I wanted to share what I have learned about the Year of the Rabit, so you can celebrate too!
Happy year of the Rabbit! 兔年快乐
"According to Chinese astrology, Rabbits are predicted to be gentle, quiet, elegant and alert, as well as quick, skilful, kind, patient and very responsible, sometimes reluctant to reveal their minds to others and having a tendency to escape reality, but always faithful to those around them.
They always have a lot of friends, and can leave a good impression on people."

If you are wondering if you are a Rabit or not, here are the previous years when Rabit was the zodiac:
1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023, 2035
Lucky Flowers of this year are:
Jasmine
Plantain Lily
Lucky colours are:
Red, Pink, Purple and Blue
Lucky Numbers are 3, 4, 6
Asian cultures celebrate by gathering with family and friends and also have large street festivals! The rituals, dances and dishes are learned and passed on through the generations. The gowns are colourful and are made from the finest materials!
Do you know of any specific rituals?
I love learning about how other cultures celebrate and it is my mission to facilitate incorporating different rituals and celebrations into the wedding ceremony.
Also, really important value for me is inclusivity and I really respect the Dublin organisers of the the festival. They have learned that this is not just a Chinese New Year and that other cultures such as Vietnam, South Korea, North Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Mongolia, Indonesia, and Brunei also celebrate. So the name of the festival has changed to Lunar New Year. There is a ripple effect too! I have now learned this too and am sharing with you too :)
Happy Monday and Happy year of the Rabbit! 兔年快乐
